Well, that’s basically me in a nutshell.
I just want summer so bad it hurts.
Sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same.
You know, for the first time in a long time there’s just nothing.
I can’t remember the last time I wasn’t stressed out, or over tired, or nervous.
But today I found that when I finally retreated into my mind there was just nothing. No worries, no anticipation.
It was just peaceful. Quiet. Nice.
Trying to find a place in this world.
“Sometimes God doesn’t give you what you want, not because you don’t deserve it, but because you deserve so much more.”
Let go. Don’t let go of your morals, let go in the sense that you don’t take like too seriously. Remember that the world keeps turning, you’re not as fragile as you think you are. Chances are you’re going to live through it- you aren’t afraid of death, just of pain. Afraid of being unhappy.
Relax. Take time to take care of yourself. Don’t always take the attitude you’ll sleep when it’s done- you can’t always get by on no sleep. You’ll feel better after you sleep. On a similar note, “The work you do while you procrastinate is probably the work you should be doing for the rest of you life.” Work for something that makes you happy.
That doesn’t mean be apathetic towards work you’re required to do. Do your best all the time, I promise you’ll regret it later of you don’t. Do the work, it will help.
Make time for the people you love. Life is short, and you don’t want to miss out. You only get one shot.
Have fun. Smile, dance, laugh, sing.
Find a balance between kindness and standing up for yourself. Don’t let anybody walk on you. In the end your feelings are what matter, why waste your time being upset?
People you love will upset you. They will unknowingly hurt you. Thats life. If you love them, you’ll figure it out. Remember, everything is okay in the end, if its not okay its not the end.
Be thankful for what you have. You are privileged to live the life that you do. Cherish.
“Make peace with God,
And make peace with yourself.
Cause in the end there’s nobody else.”
Make the most of every moment. You won’t ever get it back. Enjoy it.
Sometimes things will work out for you, and sometimes they won’t. That’s just how the game is played. Understand that the tables are always turning.
Watch a sunset, go for a walk, dance in the rain, feel the wind, play in the snow, soak up some rays, see the sunrise, look at the clouds.
Challenge yourself. Protect yourself, but don’t build your walls too high. At some point you have to let somebody in. You cant make somebody love you. Its ok to be afraid of getting hurt, but don’t let it keep you from playing the game. “In order get somewhere you’ve never been, you have to do something you’ve never done.”
Ask for help. If you don’t understand and you mess up, you’ll just get mad. Suck it up and ask for directions.
Love. Be compassionate. Sometimes you’ll do something that won’t benefit you at all. That’s okay. It’s good to just be there for somebody else, it makes you feel good. It makes them feel good- shows them you care. Listen. Don’t help someone with the intentions of getting something from them in return, be there for someone for the sake of being compassionate.
You’re going to mess up, you’re going to make mistakes, you’re going to fail. That’s okay. You can’t be good at everything. Sacrifices have to be made. It’s okay to not be perfect. It’s okay to fall apart sometimes. A hot bath can fix anything. “People cry not because they are weak, but because they’ve been strong for too long.” However, don’t let that be an excuse for not trying.
“I hope you lead a life you’re proud of.”
